So this is my truck. 93 C1500 TBI 305 4L60E. The most current idea I have come up with for it goes like this. 2/4 drop (prob spindles and shackles), I have a ‘97 LT1 from a Z28(stock), computer and harness from ‘94 Corvette automatic, American Racing 17x9.5 and 17x11 wheels for a C4 Vette. The theme will be a period correct build circa 1995ish of the LT1SS followup of the discontinued 454SS trucks. Everything done will be done as if it were 1995. I have not yet begun to look into the computer/wiring conversion situation, so maybe I’ll need some advice there. Will that computer run my truck’s trans properly? I’m also worried the Corvette size tires for those wheels will look too short in diameter on this truck (275/40 and 315/35). They are about 1.5 inches shorter than the 454SS tires. Anyone run this tire size? Do the rears fit? I want to have LT1SS vinyls made for the bedsides, but they might not fit right in the step side bed. I even saw NOS Gatorbacks on eBay! Lol.

I would think the 94 computer on a 97 LT1 would be a little tricky with 97 Z28 having an OBD II setup and 94 with OBD I.

The engines are almost identical, there are differences in some of the sensors, but I have almost none of those for the motor right now anyway

So yesterday I was at the swap meet at Englishtown and I picked up some wheel adapters 5x5 to 5x4-3/4. This is a test fit of the adapters(which are 1-1/4 thick) and the 17x11 American Racing wheels for a C4 Vette. I was expecting to need a much thicker adapter, but it looks like it might work as is. I will have to get some tires(looking at the M/T Street tires 315/35) to find out for sure, maybe just an additional 1/4 spacer. Haven’t mocked up the front because I already have the six lug rotors on there. Front rims are 17x9.5 and will get a 275/40.

I don't own any lt1 cars anymore, but the 97 motor with the obd1 should be pretty straight forward. I remember it was pretty common practice for guys to swap their obd2 ecu out for obd1 just because there was more tuning options available for obd1. They would swap the obd2 ecu back in just for emissions.

If I remember right, it was like 2 pins that had to be swapped around on the ecu connector, and the knock sensors were different for obd1 vs obd2 lt1 cars. I know the information is out there on some of the B-body and F-body forums.

Those tire sizes are pretty short.
My' '97 @ 2/4 with 275/55-17's.
They are the same height as the stock 235/75-15's. Front fenders did need to be rolled, though.
