Since you live in a rural area, go out and count the telephone poles to get a 1/4 mile time. Then go to the dump and get your vehicle weighed. Now you can roughly approximate whp. Factor 20-30% transmission and accessory losses to even more crudely approximate crank hp. Then exclusively use that number for telling other people how powerful it is.

My cam's slightly smaller with a wider lobe separation, and I'm pretty sure I've maxed out my Vortec heads. In your shoes I'd be looking seriously at better heads.

If you weigh your truck and know the gearing, there are free Phone apps with GPS that can calculate HP fairly accurately... At least way more than asking a forum based on components.
