Also make sure your crate long block is 98 or 99 L29 specifically for the crank sensor parts behind the timing over, else you’ll have issues with the computer.

If you have a manual trans, when you do this swap is a good time to replace the clutch parts too. If you have an engine oil cooler, they will need the bypass valves in there. Speaking of oil cooler, good time to replace those lines if leaking. Knock sensors, might get replaced. Oil pressure sensor, good time to replace it. Fuel pressure regulator, make sure you get the right one.
