I ditched mine after I flipped the air cleaner cover.

It's set up to draw in cooler air vs the hot underhood air. A lot of people ditch them. Especially when switching to an open element like mine. I've never had one to know if it really makes a difference though.

Yea I've done that already haha I have a k&n intake laying around so I rigged it up. Haha will this work?

I've never had a stock air cleaner on any of my older vehicles to try it, but a ton of people always do it. I would if I had a stock box
