I'm getting ready to rebuild the front end on my C2500 8 lug and want to make sure I've got all I need before getting started. Any recommendations on what I've got lined out or specialty tools? Any special sized wrenches I'll need?

Depending on cash flow, I'd also like to put this lift on.

Any specific tools or socket sizes I would need? The previous owner added some overload bags. Any recommendations on blocks for those? From what I've been seeing, it looks like Bilstein 5100's are the shocks to go with, or would the 4600 still work?

For the control arms. Original Grade is Mevotech's value chassis line.

I would spend a few more dollars on their supreme line

Same for the ac delco advantage pitman arm. Go with moog problem solver or ac delco pro or something.

If your trying to save money just get lower control arm bushings and ball joints and not the whole assembled arms.

If you are replacing spindles now is a good time for new bearings.

Axle nut is what 36mm?

Go with 5100s for that truck for sure.

You have a picklefork? Or something to pop out balljoints.

Flare nut wrench for the brake lines

Parts started showing up and I got to thinking about how I'm going to get the lca off. Do I need to get a coil spring compressor or is there another way to do it?

I was talking with a guy at work and he said he's got a compressor I can borrow.

I also realized I didn't order stabilizer bar bushings. Looking on rock auto there are different sizes available. Anyone know what size I need for a '96 C2500 8 lug with a 5.7?
