I did my frame (after sandblasting) with three coats of SPI epoxy primer (Southern Polyurethanes) which is UV stable and does not really need a top coat. It has a cult following on the hot rod side. Just another option to consider.

I've heard nothing but good things about the SPI Epoxy as well.. I've got a business/account with the PPG Supplier here, so my price on PPG Stuff tilts the deck in that favor...if I were to Blast & "Liquid Paint" it, It would be with PPG Epoxy....not that I wouldnt use SPI...just too easy to get my hands on the PPG.
