^^^this is basically what you need to know^^^...just take your time and it always helps to have a buddy around
i wanted to say if you need all the wiring/connectors for the subs there is nothing better out there than this kit and it's everything you need in a box: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050I6KII/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
its pretty cheap and it is very good quality wire...way better than anything at walmart or auto parts stores IMO. I've installed at least 5 of these kits now so let me know if you have any issues installing

I looked at this exact kit earlier today. Hopefully, Ill have it and the amp ordered by the end of the day. Im not gonna make it a huge project because the subs will be relocated once I get a box that can fit under my back seat :secret:

Lol, I like the space but everyday I wish it was a crewcab. It does make having a sound system easy though lol ;) according to the lovely people over on GMFS, these model trucks are only worth about $2500 :roflsquared::rofl:

So I looked on the back of my subs just to get a little more info. The wattage isn't back there but it does say they are 8ohm so I got a little more knowledge out of it

if you want those subs to sound good make sure you get an amp that has at least 1000w...no matter what the subs are rated at, the amp is the biggest key to making those subs hit hard. i have some knock off cheapo no name subs but when paired with my 1300w eclipse amp they blow away my friends kickers w/800w amp.

that worries me a little bit because the higher the wattage, the higher the price lol

Im going to go ahead and say I was very wrong lol. I found a BOSS amp for $55 that is 1000w and has 8ohm capability. With the amp, the wire kit that was recommended and a fuse holder with two fuses, I will be paying just under $90 before shipping. Hopefully shipping wont raise that price too much :dancingpoop::deal:
