I have two 1994 silverado extended cab 4x4's. One is a 1500 and the other one is a 2500.the 2500 is an parts truck. I'm wanting to take the front and rear-end out of the 2500 and put it under the 1500. Making it an 8 lug 4x4. Will this work? And how complicated is it . Any help or info would be appreciated

Rear will bolt in, may need a conversion u-joint or to swap yokes. The front is another discussion. You could custom fab 1 of the 4 mounts to get the pig in there, but the 8 lug stuff is where you're gonna get stuck. The frames are different, the upper control arms are different. It would involve either a frame swap or significant fabrication. I'm guessing the 1500 is a short bed and the 2500 is a long bed.

Both trucks are extended cab short beds

If it’s a 6 lug/heavy 1/2 ton 2500, then your all set, no issues.
Edit: just noticed you mentioned 8 lug.
See post #2 :blah:

The mounting location of the upper control arms are not compatible.
Can't put the 2500 UCA on a 1500 frame.
Can't put the 1500 upper ball joint on the 2500 knuckle.
Cant put the 9.25 front diff directly on the 1500 frame, and can't put the 2500 CV shafts on the 8.25 diff.

Put the 1500 body on the 2500 frame if you want a 8 lug 1500 (as suggested above)

It can be done, it’s not easy but it works. I have a whole thread on my build and there are pictures. Gotta cut and weld mounts for front diff and shorten the UCAs
