Glad some of it stuck! Sociology is what I do.
My studies are in chemical dependency and human services. I've targeted my educational journey to work toward the mitigation of recidivism and holistic family wellness. Before I started on a degree, my entire caseload consisted of folks on drug court, probation, and parole.

What do you specialize in?

Drug courts are a really important apparatus, as are veterans courts. I truly believe that if we continue failing to address the "why" of crime, punishment of the "who" will remain ineffective in terms of behavioral change.
Recidivism is a huge problem, as are rates of incarceration. Interestingly enough, research indicates that most people are dissatisfied with the criminal justice system in this country
I'm wrapping up my personal educational journey (finally) but I'll be staying in education for a career.
What do you specialize in?
Structural racism and criminology.

Indeed...to all your points. I had a sociology paper to research and write regarding conflict theory. I smashed it together with recidivism; I titled it "Recidivism: What Is Our Best Defense Against Repeat Offence?" When I get to my computer at school, I'll find it and send you a copy. Would that be cool? I'm interested in your impression(s).

Call me a killjoy, but vehicles are appliances. Value your family and not the material object, especially if it needs a new frame. Take some pictures of it if you need to, and then let it go. I'd look for a running 2500 and part the 1500 out as needed.

I have a lot of good memories of my first sports car, but when the rust got past my abilities to repair, I let it go. With the skills I have now it was completely salvageable, but I don't regret it. It's too easy to get way in over your head because of sentimentality.

PM sent, email me that paper when you find it, I'd like to read it.

I operate through a conflict lens, it's the only one that makes sense to me as there is rarely a true consensus of values within a group.
We should probably start a different thread if we're gonna keep talking about this though...

I got the info I agree. I penned an apology to burbistheword in regard to my apparent ability to de-rail threads...And it deleted itself somehow. I'm out of practice, lol.

The funny and sad thing about my now rotting truck is that I'm in the same boat. Do I get another RCSB or get an ECSB, which would really suit my needs better? Time will tell. There are way too many things wrong with her for me to, with all sensibility, rebuild her due to the sentimental value I hold for her.

The Suburban wheelbase is 131.5", equivalent to a single cab long bed

Getting back to O.P.s question, the frame of the big SUV rises up after the axle to the body mounts, pickups dont.
Suburban has a rear mounted fuel tank. The K2500 pickup is a left side inner frame mount. If you tried to fab some kind of body lift extensions and a 4 foot long fill tube, maybe it'd fit.

It would be dramatically easier to put the 1500 SUV body on a 2500 SUV frame.

Then there's the wiring issue. Are you planning on swapping the 1500 drivetrain onto the 2500 frame? The u-joints won't bolt to the axles.
If you leave the 2500 drivetrain, you'll need a major PCM reprogramming.
