As far as I'm aware front suspension geometry is the same 250-550, with axle tubes and shafts being longer on the 450/550 wide track axles. (more distance between coil/link mounts and inner Cs)These 05 450/550 axles.
Are these the same distance for the radius arm to mount as the 250/350 axles, frame side?
I'm actually planning on picking up one in California on New Years weekend. It has a running 6.5 but the tranny is failing. We agreed on $1000.Beat up and to much money but a good start. Been listed for a few months.

I think I'd run it, but it would be a local usage toy for me, until it pooped out. Then I'd swap in a 454, 8.1, or maybe an early Duramax.
I have a 6.5 Opitmizer with all of the reliability goodies and some upgrades. That will be the initial stage. The first stage will be to extend the frame for the crew cab and swap everything from Pearl, our 2000 K3500 dually into the 3500hd chassis. It will stay 2wd at that time.You going to run the 6.5L?
