I'm no help on the bleeder screw, but if you end up getting new calipers I've been happy with the PowerStop S4299s I put on my '97 C1500. No idea if they're any better than other calipers on the market, but they work correctly and they're powder coated red so they look fancy...

I think they're around $120, you have to buy them as a set of two.

May be able to remove a broken bleeder by using an easy-out sort of extractor. Try to drill the thing out. You've got a reasonable centering hole in the fluid passage. When the hole is enlarged some, try a small extractor (Easy-Out).

Otherwise, oxy-fuel heat. And good luck. And depending on how much heat...the rubber seals become somewhat questionable. 'Course, if you dip most of the casting in a pail of water, then only heat the bleeder screw area...

Depending on how old the caliper are, and how regular you are about flushing the brake fluid, it's maybe best to just let the rebuilder worry about it. A pair of "rebuilt" calipers eliminates the problems with sticky pistons that sort-of work, but have high seal friction.
