I went with there regular "heavy hauler" build. Was debating going with their max version. But I figure if I do break it I can send it back and they'll upgrade it for the difference in cost.

This is correct. However, you are on the hook for shipping.

That is correct. But I don't see my 350 breaking it. Should be making around 450 @ the crank, the trans is rated at 550 @ the wheel.

Which did you get?

I decided to go with the Level 3 for mine. Its rated for 900rwhp in a 3600lb car, but told me for my application they wouldn't push it past 800rwhp which is more than I plan to ever make.

450 seems a bit optimistic with the wee 1.6L Whipple. I'm not sure what they rated them at back in the day. Mine hit a max of 140kpa back in MI, but 135ish was where it typically was. WIth a max RPM of 15,000 and a shift RPM of 5100, a 2 5/8" pulley will have me just below max. I'm at 2 3/4" now but wanting to donate that one to the dually as that will have me right at the max in it as well. The 2.3 has a max RPM of 13,500. Heavy trucks are rated at less power than a lighter car with the same transmission FYI.
