97 2500 door

My driver door is destroyed. The previous owner let it sag and it has cracked the door frame at the latch and he gutted it of everything. I found a 94 3500 door will it work or no? I want to stay with a white door to match and it’s all I can find!

Yes. Kinda.
You'll need to swap the door card out, and I'm pretty sure it's not a direct swap, some modification will be needed. The door itself (except for the key obviously) is a direct swap.

Are there any differences in the lock mechanism because of the difference in the cylinder? 95 up being the single key for everything style? Only door I have swapped out on the Burb is the second door on the driver's side, and those don't have the lock cylinder in them. A lot of the time, this door doesn't lock/unlock with the others using the power locks (guess it still thinks it is in the other truck?). I suspect it has issues with the lock rods; I'll look at everything when I change the inside handle assembly out. The window won't go down all the way either, so something is binding up.

The upholstery card is different. Also the door opening handle inside. I'd have to look and see if you can just swap the whole handle assembly in. The outside handle just swap in the original doors keylock cylinder. Electric windows?

The door shell is the same, the guts, door card, and possibly handles will need to be swapped to be compatible with your 97.
It's fairly easy to swap everything over, at least my involvement with swapping has been easy

Nobody wants to hear from me on this (the whole topic, not just the lock), because it'll just be another endless debate.
