880 vortec block vs 638 TBI block

880 Blocks do have a shorter wall, Comes into play will building a stroker.

638 is an awesome block, superior in my mind, can be had roller/fuel pump ready.

880's were also used in some 1995 TBI trucks.

Why? Just use a 638 block?
