has anyone changed out there rearend for one out of a buick roadmaster ? and if so width? better brakes? i have a 88 2wd 1500

why? you can do a rear disk conversion for ~$300 or so, and still retain the correct width for the truck.

What year Roadmaster? They've been coil springs with trailing arms, the brakes and bearings are smaller, and have been rated lower for carrying loads than one from an S10. Heck of a downgrade...
