Im currently looking to get a new engine in my 94 k1500...

Im seeing a long block online, and It looks like the oil filter is positioned straight down, but on my truck, the filter is at an angle because of the front driveline.

Is this engine not going to work for me?

Ive had a hell of a time trying to find someone who will rebuild my engine or find a long block available locally... I have a couple of guys who can rebuild mine if I bring it in, but I am not in a position to do this.

Anyone know anyone in the Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA area?

4x4s get a cast aluminum adapter that puts the filter at an angle so it clears your front driveshaft..... it's also were your oil cooler will attach if you have one.
