Swapped an nv3500 into my 1999 C2500 reg cab 8 foot bed. Having problems on getting the correct drive shaft length, old one is too short and new(that supposedly fits according to the parts house) is too long. Overall length and carrier bearing positioning is just wrong. Anyone run into this? Anyone know what shaft I should be looking for?

This is an 8 lug, right? I don't know for sure, but I think those were fitted with the NV4500.

The NV3500 was on the 6 lug GMT 400s and I'm pretty sure on the GMT 800 1500 and 2500 LD (non HD models.)

Maybe that's why your parts don't fit.
