Cool Thread! I really like how the headliner turned out.
I see in your picture of your Big 3 upgrade that it looks like you have the inline fuse attached to the starter circuit. My instructions say that fuse is for the alternator circuit. Thought I would point it out just to prevent any issue if it is incorrect. Disregard if what you have is correct
Yeah, i fixed it after i took the pic realizing i did it wrong

What are you doing for headlights? I swapped mine to projectors with led but since I'm serious about this truck now I'm thinking a swap to the w/t front end is the way to go. Looks much better, more truck like, and being able to use high quality 5x7 headlights opens all kinds of possibilities like the Truck Lites or JW Speaker

I like projector lights but not in the square housing, it is just not the look for them, this is what i see when i see projectors on a gmt400

I looked those lights up, they look really cool. The DRL looks a lot like my daily actually.

My only concern with the rzlights is they're a reflector and call for leds, which is usually a problem but not always. My F250 has Truck Lites which are a reflector led setup, I'm okay with projectors in small housings but like you said they look terrible in something bigger.

after pricing out the suspension parts, lift, brakes, axle re-gears, and wheels/tires, i realized it may be a while before i get to them, i dont want to take things apart multiple times and it will also make working in the engine bay a little harder, so i have shifted my focus to the engine compartment for the time being.

here is a list of all the parts i bought today and what websites

Tear down has commenced, unfortunately the fan could not be saved, that big ass nut would not come loose. No matter how much tension i put on the belt the water pump pulley kept slipping. Got all the coolant drained, made quite the mess. Had to take off the water pump with the fan still attached. Probably will continue with draining the oil tonight after kid goes to sleep. Water pump looks really rough, will try to restore first before just buying a new one, i guess it also depends if i can get that fan off as well

The water pump to fan nut shouldn't be that tight, maybe a prior repairer got it cross threaded? On both my Burbs I've gotten it apart with a couple of taps with a 3 pound engineers hammer , on the 35/36mm combo wrench. I think when I had it apart the last time on the current Burb, I might have put a tiny bit of anti seize on it? That was 4 years ago so not sure! And putting it back on, I hand thread it to get it started, and tighten it up with the wrench till it's tight. The threads are similar to some fluid line fittings I've seen, where you tighten it up and then it won't go any further.... guess it bottoms out? Must've been okay because that Burb has quite a few miles on it in that time....
I say 35/36mm on the wrench because I think the old '99 had one size and the current one is the other. I need to get that wrench and see if it fits the nut on the crew cab, for future reference.....
There's also a holding tool that's a long bar with holes to go around two of the pulley mounting bolts, to help with this job, but I think mainly it's for holding the pulley still so you can remove and replace the four pulley bolts.

All the videos i watched they just gave it a couole of whacks and it came loose. The nut did have signs of a struggle from previous owner

That's how it worked for me(of course the last time I took it apart, was only about 5-6 weeks after I had taken it apart before, first water pump was bad so I got to do it over, but at least it was warrantied!).
I'd bet that someone got it cross threaded, or put it back together without cleaning it and there's dirt or grease in the threads. Everything doesn't need to be operating theater clean on car repairs, but it does need to NOT be grungy....

Looks like its gonna be new water pump and pulley. Probably gonna need a need power steering pulley too, the OEM tools brand puller didnt work for ****, just ate up the pulling lip and popped off. Oil drained, radiator removed, R-134 removed, calling it a night. Its already 1 am.
