thats a nice truck. im scared to ask how much you paid for it in this market lol.

what are you plans for the truck?
Thanks Mr Steve. I will be lowering it 5/7, and I've got a set of 19" Budnik's on order. I'll be painting the bumper, roll pan, mirrors and grill to match. Basically a street truck.

Thanks guys!

This weekend I pulled out the old, worn, and dirty carpet, and decided to refresh the driver's side bottom seat cushion and cover. The good news is the floor pan looks brand new.

The bad news is I went with the ACC carpet kit, and to be honest I'm not very happy with it. It had some wrinkles and creases that just wouldn't come out no matter how much I steamed them, and the fit wasn't very good at all. Over the trans tunnel near the toe boards was the worst part. I trimmed the carpet down before realizing the fitment problems, so I guess I can't return it at this point. I ordered another brand that supposedly has a more custom fit according to reviews. I'll comment on that once I receive it and lay it in the truck. I also decided to Hush Mat the floor pan while I wait for the new carpet kit. I'll post pictures as I make progress on that project.

Welcome !! Very nice Victory Red '97. I bought a brand new '97 RCSB L31 in the same colors. Cost was $22,200 out the door with my brothers employee discount. Never should have sold that truck 5 years ago.
I'm down I-5 from you a little bit in San Clemente.
Ping me if you ever get down to our local Cars+Coffee at the Outlets on Saturday mornings 9AM'ish

I feel your pain. It's always the one's that got away!

Thanks Craig! I'll definitely hit you up on that once I get the truck set up the way I want it. I'm guessing a month or two. Appreciate the invite!

I'm trying to get the truck in the body shop this weekend to paint the bumper and roll pan, and fix a couple of small things, so I figured I should start de-badging in case anything lies beneath. It was pretty clean under the moldings and tailgate Chevrolet panel emblem. I used a heat gun, fishing line, 3M adhesive remover, and a little elbow grease to do the job. The 3M stuff works alot better than Goo Gone for that particular adhesive. I'll finish the passenger side tonight, but altogether it should be about 5 hours to get everything removed, cleaned, buffed and polished.

I got a few things repaired and painted last week (roll pan, mirrors, front bumper, grill). Thanks to the guys over at Premier Collision in Anaheim for their quick work! I still need to install the billet grill insert. Next stop, wheels and suspension.
