1989 body seam molding

Yes they can NOT be found ANYPLACE that I googled... And is recessed for them. has NO joint compound like my 95 fleetside.

I have them on my 91 Steppy.
I have seriously been thinking of popping them out, and burning a whole lot of MIG wire and gas. Make them disappear!!! Lol

You get them off in one piece? they seem to be gold finding them LOL.. I would never want joint compound in mine, or body filled to crack etc.. later on..

well damn, I did crash work on a ton of these trucks and never come across them before.

Because they were stolen, or lost! Then joint compound filled I bet? unlike a fleet side they show on a steppy, so cleaner look.

Bondo would be a definite no no in my books. Maybe of it was for a quick flip and rip on some poor kid.
My plan was to actually weld the seam shut.
I probably won't do it, but if I did, it would definitely be welded.

I thought they slide in to lock in place. But appears they snap on...

Way back in '99-2000 when I converted my 92 RCSB to a stepside I looked high and low for these mouldings for a long time and never tracked any down. They were disco'd by GM even back then. Can't believe this pic is almost 25 years old. Man I'm old
