I see on local CL a 160A Alternator up for $90. A used take off from Escalade with the 6.2 V8 motor. Has a photo, in a box labeled 'ACDelco 25877026'
Browsing O'Riley's site, it fits various 6.2, 6.0, 5.3, & 4.8 engines.
Anyone know if this will fit for a '97 5.7L without too many issues, other than maybe a belt?

I would think that the connectors would be different from what you need. Not sure if pigtails can just be cut and swapped in. But most likely not a direct swap.

So it's for LS series engines. Have to find out what series it is. Search photos for each year. Compare models by research parts catalog. Looking service manuals section 5 and section 8. Electrical and Alternator

It might be voltage regulated by the PCM. I think many of the newer alternators are set up that way.
