14 bolt rear end diff cover

So if I wanted to change out my diff cover would I need one for a 10.5" 14 bolt or a 9.5"? I keep finding a bunch for each and I have no idea how to measure what I've got.

Truck is a '94 Chev 1500 Z71 with the positraction/G80 rear end.

You most likely have a 14b semi floater.. but verify the bolt/cover pattern of your axle through the link above.

FYI: 10.5 corporate axles are all full floating design and are 8 lug wheels.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no Oem 8 lug 1500's.

How many wheel lugs?

1500's didn't get the 10.5 full floater unless someone has swapped it in.

The 10.5 is and 8 lug axle.

Far more likely you have the 9.5 semi floating 14 bolt...

I'm pretty sure the 10.5" 14-bolt FF never came in the 1500. It would probably be a 9.5" 14-bolt SF.
