Take a look at Howards Cams. I started what I expect to be a 2 year 383 build (technically 390, .040 over with a 3.8" stroke) two weeks ago and am looking at Howards because small base circle grinds are standard offerings. I'm looking at a their 183215-10S since it's not a retrofit and their cam/lifter kits look attractive. Similar to the mentioned XM270HR. I have a while to settle on a cam though. I have the 395 cam in my 5.7L 1998 Z71 now. It's a good cam but a lot of work for +30HP. No need to do anything with your heads if you go with that cam though.
