I have this feeling that Loctite has misunderstood the application.

Tell them it's plastic, and threaded, and when new, has a factory-preapplied, dry chemical sealer packed into the threads. You want something that replaces the factory-preapplied dry, hard, goo.
In emails to Permatex and Loctite, I described a plastic threaded tube to metal. I did mention the pre-applied sealant. Both got photo of tube with original orange/red sealant.
So, again, this is the plan for the tube.
Materials it adheres to as follows:

Material
Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Stainless Steel, Fiberglass, Aluminum, PVC, Copper

Just found this. WTF is wrong with Loctite telling me they don’t make a product for plastic. Sent them another email asking why they didn’t mention this.

That's essentially Krazy Glue. I wouldn't use it for this application.

It does say Instant Adhesive, but it also says it’s a Fast Curing Threadlocker. A low strength threadlocker specifically.
Oh, it'll lock some threads, for sure. You might not ever get that tube back out if you need to.

^^^ Yup, there's "...cyanoacrylate..." listed in the composition. Sounds like Krazy Glue / Super Glue

No spec given on use around oil.

Temp spec is max 180F.

It's an excellent product for... something.
Exactly. Who knows? I saw "cyanoacrylate" and said hey; that's Krazy Glue. They just added some other goop to it to thicken it up, as cyanoacrylate is generally pretty water-thin on its own.

I guess you're inclined to use threadlocker instead of thread sealant, huh?

The factory stuff is more than likely Loctite DRI 516, which can be used on plastic.

You're just not going to obtain any. I mean, you could, but I believe the smallest size it comes in is 1 liter containers. Not sure how much those run. So, you're going to use maybe 1% of it, then the rest will dry out and be wasted. In the end, would have been better off just buying a new oil tube from a dealer.

Do you want to buy the OEM part? I know where they have one in stock.
