Nice looking truck.

Replace fuel gauge air core motor

If you’re replacing it to fix a vibrating pointer, you can fix it easily with a tweak to the ECU tune. It’s a cheap and durable fix if you happen to be tuning the ECU for other reasons.

Simply change / double (2x) the fuel gauge PWM frequency and the flutter goes away.

I have never seen anyone recommend before, would love to fix it without having to replace it, dont know anything about tuning devices or how to do it though

If you want details let me know, I'll point you to a recent thread that discussed both tuning methods (e.g., Jet's "Dynamic Spectrum Tuner") and, among other things, the "tuning change" to take the buzz out of the fuel gauge.

Yes please

Check out these threads.

The first talks about tuning, the fuel gauge buzz, and which tools can be used to tune oneself.

The second just talks about the fuel gauge buzz.

They’re easy reading.

Ive found so many good things here, its amazing a forum is still alive, face book is pretty **** compared to forums

Seriously, there are some easy tweaks you can make to improve drivability / fun factor, mostly related to IIRC:

- re-tuning the abuse parameters, see various posts in thread 'Towing with 33” tires versus 35” tires'
https://www.gmt400.com/threads/towing-with-33”-tires-versus-35”-tires.56164/post-1211110

- re-tuning power enrichment parameters

- disable VATS

- disabling EGR (if you wish)

- shift point and TCC tweaks to better suit your driving / personal preferences

- fuel gauge debuzzer

- other goodies I have overlooked, some of which may have been covered in the threads I provided above

Others here may have suggestions for tweaks to fuel delivery / spark advance / knock retard / etc.
