Does anyone know the part number for this and is it available? I painted it but it's quite rusty underneath.

Edit: It actually has a hole started on the side that faces down. The rust remover I had it soaking in didn't completely remove all the rsut from inside it either.

I can't help with what it's called or the part number. What rust remover did you use? I have used Evaporust on things that looked like they came from the Titanic and it cleaned them all to bare metal. Have you considered sandblasting? Weld up the hole, grind/file/sand flat, prime and paint?

I'm seeing two different part numbers, 15713032 and 15713004. Not sure what the difference is as I see them both listed for multiple engines... Maybe something to do with the Donaldson vs Delphi filter boxes? Looks like they're both discontinued, but there's a few of the 15713032 available used on eBay.

Welding, sand blasting, grinding, etc. is way too much work for a little bracket that's under my air box, expecially on a non-show truck. I don't weld either. It's something Id like to learn though.

I used the Blaster Rust Remover that's supposed to be an Evaporust copy. I was suprised it didn't remove all of it, but the rust was pretty thick on the inside.

Wow yeah for $40! I was hoping it would still be available new, but it probably doesn't fit anything else.

I'll check the local yard. I need to go and see of they've got any Volvos any way, plus I just haven't been there for awhile. Thanks for digging up the info.

The Donaldson vs. Delphi is a good point to look at.

When I was searching for my stock air intake parts, I had to pony up and buy one of those $40 air cleaner fender brackets from daddydan717. Wasn't happy about spending that much on that little part. I'm sure treasure yards have plenty of them.
