I was living in South Carolina in 1979, and one of our neighbors had a L'il Red Express and a green Warlock in the driveway. Exceptionally cool trucks in an era when the Dukes of Hazzard was hitting the TV screen.

i've never seen a Warlock, and I've not heard the name much over the years. I assume that means it was much more limited in production than the L'il Red Express.

I so vaguely recall the Warlock. It's a custom 4x4 model, available in green, blue, black, and red.

From wiki - and I do recall seeing Adventurers - this quote includes some I've never heard of: "Notable models produced during this era were the 1978–1979 Li'l Red Express, the Warlock, the Macho Power Wagon, the Macho Power Wagon Top Hand, Macho Power Wagon Palomino, and the Adventurer."

Yeah, whoever was in charge of special editions at Chrysler during that time was a genius. I think a lot of them were just stickers, badging, trim, etc. but they were effective.

In my memory, the Warlock was pretty much a L'il Red Express, but painted green. It had the same wood bed extensions, stack exhaust, and gold wheels.

And the midnight express one was the same truck in black.

As we drift closer to the sun, my desire to work on the truck is waning. Too hot. I need to finish the brake lines and then I'll get it registered as an antique using some Texas Truck plates from 1967.

I'm stocking up on parts for phase II. This arrived today.

Whole Enchilada. I'm probably going to add one of their digital dash displays at some point.

I have actually been debating their setup. But that's a ton of $ that can be spent on other things.
