like the blue/orange wires could have been used to remotely activate amps to power subs, when the accessories is turned on, on the truck.

Blue wire says power antenna, but mine is fixed,absolutly! do you have a multimeter to test for voltage and verify that the blue wire has power? I think it should and your right.
Blue wires behind radios can be for a remote accessory on or like an automatic antenna that rises when the radio has power... I have an RV deck sitting here that says the blue wire is for a powered antenna. the trailer never had one and this was just capped and wired out of the way...
Have a few hahado you have a couple more fuses?
Don't know how it would help either, but is ammeter for amperage? I don't know all the tools. And good news I found a bag of all the fuses and relays I pulled from my old donor yukonya man theres a high probability that you fixed the short by removing those wires. I'd risk a new fuse but test before putting everything back. I'm not sure how an ammeter could help, I would test for voltage.
