Good thing it didnt catch on fire....I would of been freaking out. My shocks wernt too bad. Wanna change it to bilstein though
It DID catch on fire! Scared the crap outta me! Got it put out, parked overnight. Went to get it in the morning, it was okay for a while. Then got in traffic and it got heated up again. Started locking up and smoking. At that point, it was "OK dammit you're going home on a wrecker". That same 48 hours, the 06 decided to get goofy with the transmission temperature. It kept going into limp mode. The sensor is bad, and it even pegs the gauge sitting still in Park.

No I didnt replace the races, figured that since the rotor is brand new it was okay. The grinding was there even before I put the new bearings in..thinking maybe I should just take it to the shop to get it figured out.

I will take a look at what pads I got.

I dont know a whole lot, more or less I am learning a lot.

Yes cars and trucks will teach you a lot. Sometimes they're expensive lessons......
Even if the old bearing race looks good, they really should be replaced when you replace the bearing. They're a matched set for a reason. Pictures of your truck brake parts would help. It's harder to diagnose things you can't look at.

.

Do new rotors come with races fitted? Or has a complete bearing set to be obtained separately and fitted?

Im going to go take a look at it again soon so I will be sure to take pictures when I look at it again.

Yeah that makes sense. I will take some pictures when I get back it at today.

The rotors had the races and I originally just put my old bearings on it, but now I replaced the old bearings with new ones.

Depends on the kit. I've seen rotors with just the rotors and I've seen others with bearing and the chases. Performance rotors normally do that so you have new rotors, bearing, and what not
