I wish quoting wasn't an option. So much clutter
Go try to understand what anyone is saying in a thread with 20,000 posts with no quoting lol.
It gets messy when people format poorly though.

I totally understand the WD-40 thing. back in the 80's my cousin brought his Gold Wing plastics to my garage and asked if I would spray them. I was probably 21-22 at the time. Had a compressor and a spray gun so why not? Lol! He and I sanded everything nice and wiped it all down with a t shirt I had used to wipe some excess wd40 off the door jamb and didn't realize that was the same shirt. Every single part was total fish eyes! I've never made that mistake again!

LOL Yeah, always use lint free wipes for for the final wipes like wyp-all's never something that been through laundry and maybe has residual scenty crap on it. I bet that was a bit of a mess.

People dont understand what body work really is. 90% prep work, 10% painting. First steep, strip off any old wax, oil, dirt, ECT. Then sand, then clean again with a new rag and a cleaner for pre paint work, or a clean tac cloth. Repeat, repeat, repeat until everything is final sanded ( block sanded several times) then paint, in stages, then clear coat in stages, then finish block sand again in stages, then buff out the clear. And thats why a real good paint job can run $10,000. Even a cheap paint job is still a lot of work. And that's not mention any repairs, rust, dents ext. There are 3 things I will pay to have done to my truck. Paint & body work, front end alignments, and transmission work.

A Mustang I'm working on I have 200+ hours in just doing the mudwork, prime/block with 180, prime/block with 400 then 500 then the paint went on. AMD/Goodmark panels have fitment issues and are wavy so the clock keeps ticking.

I love that year Mustang. We have a regular at the car shows, who has a 67 or 68 with a supercharger Coyote engine, not the 5.0, the bigger one, 5.4? Maybe. 814 HP at the rear tires. Has a 5 or 6 speed manual trans.

Not familiar with a Coyote 5.4, I am however familiar with a Coyote 5.2 - typically used in the newer factory Shelbys.

I tried to talk him into those tail lights and the rear wing but he wouldn't go for it they're available for a vert. Always liked the fastbacks better. A few pics and a vid on pg 2 of this thread if interested.

Maybe that what it was, a 5.2 but it was punched and board out, Im not sure, Im not a Ford guy LOL, but there is some I would have and the 67 - 68 is one. Love a Pantera, love a Shelby Daytona, and GT 40. Im more of a Chevelle, GTO El Camino, Camaro guy. Like an old vette too.
