window lift channel help

i put a new outter door handle on my truck today and noticed the channel in the bottom of the window was rusted and ended up giving out while i was moving everything around. what's the best way to install a new channel? do i have to take the window completely out?

I dont believe you need to remove the window, i think you can do it with the window all the way up
