instead of 2 drop spindles wouldn't the 2 drop control arms from djm be a better solution?

Drop control arms are fine if that's all that the truck going to be lowered down with.
Combine them with a dropped spring or drop spindles & a whole can of problems gets opened.
Alignment issues when combined with the springs.
LCA ground clearance with the spindles.
