I have a 1994 gmc k1500 with a 350 tbi, I was wondering what oil brand and weight do you guys use? I’m having low oil pressure when it is warm , I was thinking about switching to a thicker oil to get my pressure up . What do you guys think?

I use chevron conventional 5w30

How low is low?

Heavy oil is harder to push. Once the bearing tolerance are out more pressure doesn't mean anything. If you run heavy oil consider it a temporary fix.

I tun 10w30 in my 454 with 285K miles because even though 5w30 was factory fill, 10w30 is also approved, and the oil I buy doesn't come in 5w30. I also run 1 qt of Marvel Mystery Oil.

It’s about 10 psi at idle when warm , i was thinking about switching to 10w30 it will sometime go to the lowest dash mark before the red

Amsoil 10W30 in my 96 454 with 163K miles on it.
I used to run Pennzoil conventional 10W30, but made the switch to synthetic and I don't think I could ever go back. It's improved my oil pressure, reduced clatter from the valvetrain, and I've extended my oil change intervals from every 3K to 6K.

The difference between 5 and 10w 30 is negligible at best. Only thing you are affecting is the viscosity on cold startup. At operating temp they are the same.
If anything go to a 10w40.
Before panicking about the oil pressure being low, grab a mechanical guage and verify the dash guage is reading correct.

10 psi at hot idle I believe is still in spec... not good, but in spec.

I'd 2nd Gramps advice about connecting a mechanical gauge, if you're worried about it.

On my 98 K1500 I use the NAPA or mobile1 synthetic, whichever is on sale and a wix XP 51036xp filter (305 engine w/standard) changed at factory suggested intervals. Does me good.
