Trimming front coils

Need to go another inch to level the truck. How much should I remove from the front coils? They're new. Will they settle after time?

New will settle slightly over time but not much.

I always trimmed 1/2 link at a time until I got the desired ride height.

That's about what I was thinking. I just don't want to go too far. I also want to get the ride height set before I do the alignment. Thanks.

One coil cut = 2" of drop.

Torch the top most until it starts to lower and yes they'll settle. But that may take years.
