I’ve never seen an orange plenum gasket. The only ones I’ve seen are blue or black on these

Well the shade of orange is subjective. It’s still closer to orange than this :

I never thought of the delcos. The shops I’ve always worked in have used felpro or mahle. Or house brand parts. And now a days since I’ve been with GM we hardly ever see a 400 anymore.

I’ve let it run for about 15 minutes. This is what came out of the filter. This seems like a lot of metal for a first fire up?

Could be the goo they coat your parts with until it builds oil pressure.
