I have read a lot posts about folks swapping 2500 t-bars into 1500's but couldn't convince myself that 3500/stiffer t-bars will fit my truck. I am looking for a stiffer initial feel from the front end as I have the stock bars decranked to manage front ride height, but if feels too soft. There was one passing reference that mentioned 3500 bars will not fit into 2500 keys but it wasn't clear if 2500s will accept the 3500 keys.

I have 3500 T bars in my 1500. they all have the same size ends and are the same length. The only difference is the spring rate.

Are the 2500 and 3500 torsion bars the same? Like spring rate?

I thought 2500/8lug front suspension was the same as 3500?

The suspensions are the same but the T bars are not necessarily the same there are quite a few options when it comes to T bars.

Thanks folks - so is there any truth to the part about different keys required for the 3500/heavier t-bars? I need to confirm which bars I have (they are stock) but should I be chasing GL or GX bars?

Would someone please confirm that RPO Codes 6GK and 7GK indicate I have the 8615 N-m t-bars. Secondly, give an opinion on going to the GL's at 8782 isn't likely to make much of difference and I should look for XG's at 9054. Thank you
