Not to thread jack, but how much pressure do the Vortec pumps put out?

That's regulated spec pressure. Dead head the pump and you can get 80-100

It's neat how the technology has advanced. We go from TBI fuel injection unit with 14 PSI of fuel pressure to now we have Common Rail Direct fuel injection with 1300+ psi.

the direct injection engine can run at 2k psi or higher while the common rail diesels can do between 20k and 40k psi

thats some crazy pressure just thinking that the carb fuel pump does 8psi and the tbi does up to 18psi
