steering question

hi all, i have no idea where to put this so i am putting it here since i am about to lower my truck and wanted to do some steering mods at the same time, please move it if you need to.... anywhooooo, i have a ecsb 5.7 truck and i will be doing the 4-6 drop here soon, my question is: Is the 454 SS trucks steering box a tighter ratio? like with better steering responce and such? i know these trucks have notoriously sloppy steering and i was wondering if there are any remedies for it... just throwing that question out there

Yes the 454 SS and the sport models both had a quicker ratio steering gear, and they are a direct bolt in to a 2wd GMT 400, I have swapped in several of them myself.
