Starter purple wire

So I was installing a new starter in my 91, Gmc 5.7 and while I was tightening down the S terminal purple wire, the connector snapped off. Was hoping someone on here could let me know how I go about replacing it and what that wire leads to any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

PPL comes from the ignition switch and is hot in crank only. If the connector means the ring terminal at the end of the wire, it is replaced by crimping a new one on the end.
