1. This looks like somebody's sloppy mistake in a cut to the rail.
2. This looks like a crack.

You also need to realize this bracket it twisted and otherwise fubared out of alignment with the spring.

You start by measuring the truck frame to make sure it's not bent, then measure the suspension mounting points to make those are square to the frame, Then you can begin to diagnose suspesion/differential problems. Measuring the tires to the spring pack means nothing at this point and the one spring the eye has been bent open so it's trash.
Thanks for reply I should have taken pic of good side it was welded clean and everything was real straight the front of spring must of been hit the bumper is straight but the condenser bent rad support I’m going to measure frame first probably cut all off and start over thanks again was just asking other opinions

Here is a pic of good side but upon further review it’s bent too and the front brackets are also bent the passenger side wheel is out pretty far and driver straight but you can’t tell in photo really think it’s best to cut Em off start over what brackets work for this I can’t remember what these
are

Wait, is the shackle in the FRONT?!? Thats half the problem there. Stupid Ford set up. Dunno WTF is going on there, but all that **** needs to come off and done RIGHT. It's spring under, dunno why anybody would do it that way, maybe for a low lift. But the brackets are giving whatever lift loosing by going spring under. Cut all that crap off, go to DIY4X.com and get Kurt's stuff. His stuff is awesome. I have his steering and SAS brackets. The truck will bend in half before any of his stuff.

The trans cooler went into condenser and bent that into rad support and ac still blows cold the bumper didn’t bend so I think that took brunt of hit how in the hell those shackles bent is beyond me thanks for link!

The price has gone up, but what hasn't other than our pay. But this stuff is TOP NOTCH. Only only place I'd get the SAS kit would be from Offroad design. But what's nice bout the DIY kit is can use either stock style 47" springs or rear 52s, and apparently 56s now. And they are symmetrical, so once get the rear hangers on, can swap side-side for either the 47s or 52s. 52s will ride nice and flex good too. The 47s are good as well, but tend to be on the stiffer side. I'm gonna SAS my Yukon, gonna use the 52s for a nice ride.

So I figured out my leafs are bent there 52s so there Chevy but are they from the rear cause I don’t think 52s were on the front 73-87 I believe

No, 52s and 56s, and 63" in the GMT400s are all rear springs. Stock fronts are 43 or 44" in the 60s, and 73 went to 47". But 52s are a common swap, cheap, flexy, and 4-5" lift.

what about the front of the spring? If that gets whacked, that will move the axle back. Again, those brackets are scary. I can't figure out what's going on with those things....
Hey you were right they were both bent and that was why the axle moved it twisted and moved wheels back and other forward they were bent opposite of each other if that makes sense thanks for your help
