This isn't really related to the GMT400 series, but I thought it interesting anyway...

I saw this truck in a parking lot today. It's a modern Chevy, but it's painted in a mid-70s scheme.

Check out the "Cheyenne Super | 10" logo painted on the front fender and "BIG 10" on the rear.

With a set of modern "retro" wheels, this would look truly remarkable.

GM did make a retro big 10 Cheyenne a few years ago. Although they are rear, that truck most likely was bought like that.

A Google search confirmed your comment.

Well, crap, here I thought I had come upon something truly unique.

I had guessed the owner had had a "retro vision", and took his truck to a paint shop do the work to make it look that way. You know, something truly unique and inspired.

I need to get out more.

I agree, the rims suck. Personally, I like the white wagon wheel rims on that truck.

Wheels like these, except in a larger diameter appropriate to the newer body style, would look sharp as a "retro wheel".

I suppose those in the picture are 15"?

Or a set of Ansen Sprints, appropriately sized, for the retro yet "owner-upgraded retro" look.
