Had the same problem with mine. Found metal ones that have the clips inside that grab the wheel

As a side note: My first Obs was an 88 GMC the same colors as yours. I really liked that truck.

Thanks for the info.. still haven’t decided what grill to use… Just had the truck painted.. It came out awesome! Do you know anything about the door lock actuators? Mine were not working so I bought news ones and it still doesn’t open and close all the way.. Seems like it sticks half way… thanks for ant help.

On the door lock actuators, I suggest removing the door latch assemblies to clean and lube them, then add a bit of lube to the linkages anywhere it runs through a plastic guide. Old grease gets hard over time.

I noticed you have the later model grill on there. Where did you get it? And did you have any difficulties swapping it out ..thanks for a reply.

I replaced my driver's side door handle and the darn rubber trim piece folded at the edge. Got a nick in the new paint, at least I did it and you have to look real close to see it, but as we know it sticks in your mind and bugs you.
