Raised y pipe?

The ready-made raised Y-pipe is expensive and still sits somewhat below the crossmember. I would not bother with it.

Any good muffler shop can bend up a piece to weld in place of the low-hanging section, in fact they should be able to rescue a smashed one if it's not utterly destroyed - because the exposed part is going to get cut off anyway. This is how I've done several.

By the way with this method it's a good idea to have the factory mini-starter, it's just about impossible to remove/install the full size starter with the raised Y-pipe.

On all my bagged trucks I just grabbed a few sections of tubing from vatozone and routed mine under the tail shaft of the trans. Never had an issue.
