I’m cleaning up the inside of my frame. Does this look descaled enough to put por-15 on. I still need to clean and prep.

Take a look at the Technical Data Sheets of the product you are using: https://www.eastwood.com/images/pdf/POR15-Rust-Preventive-Coating-Data-Sheet.pdf

I'm not familiar with this product.

If you read the description on page 4 (Power Tool Cleaning,) it's pretty generic, but it also states SSPC-SP 11, which is much different than what the description on page 4 says.

In my limited use of POR-15, as long as there is no loose material, scale or flaking it looks good to go. it's right in the name, Paint Over Rust. But as any paint goes, the more prep you do, the better the results. It is a project I will be doing to my 91 as soon as winter is over here, probably August the way it's looking! Lol
Post some pics when you are done.

Read the POR-15 instructions and follow them to the letter. No kidding. Even if you just read the "instructions for people that hate to read instructions."

You don't want to mess up.. like, spray this stuff without a respirator (very bad), get it on anything you don't want it permanently attached to, paint on bare metal, paint directly out of the can.. you'll have a bad time.

@Drunkcanuk Just now getting the time to work on it, but here are a few pictures. This was taken right after the second coat. Heed the warnings about this stuff sticking to everything. Got some on my hands, looks like I will have por15 on my hands for a few weeks. Otherwise, went on well. I used a paint brush. It went on very easy.

Looks good man!
and yea it STICKS! for some reason no one really understands until they actually use the stuff. It will definitely be on your hands for at least a week or 2. If you got it up your arms or elsewhere it'll be longer yet.

That looks great. I may have to invest in some, I've got an 83 F250 with some rust and I'm moving north soon.

Lol....my buddy warned me when I covered the infamous 3rs gen Ram back fender rust. Used gloves, wore long sleeves and that devil liquid still managed to find its way on my wrist and arms. Looks good, any step whether baby or not is a step in the right direction. Keep up the good work.
