In-Frame Power Steering Cooler

I was thinking maybe the V6 accessories sit a little farther back than the V8, so the V6 line might be longer? Not sure as I've never measured that, just a thought.

I bet the rubber hose is just a bit shorter on mine. It measures in at about 10”.

Being low pressure, you could always add a length of hard line to the existing rubber, clamp it, and install another piece on the other end that goes to the pump. Not ideal, would look kind of ugly.

My 95K2500, came with the tubes. One day at the piknpul a truck had grill stuff off and there was the finned cooler right there, easy day.

how common or uncommon are power steering coolers both the fame and the fin kind I all hydro-boost trucks got them and have seen the frame kind once on a 99 K-1500 exstended cab step side that was born a 305 and swaped to a 350 at that time the frame cooler was replaced with a fined one I have seen a fined one on a a gmt800 2000 1500 4.3 regular cab long bed 2wd I have seen a fined one on a 95 K-1500 regular cab long bed 4.3 and and I have seen a fined one on a 90 or very early 91 K-1500 350 regular cab step side what was really weird about this one was it had a sm465 and only 3 leaf packs no over loads

I've had:

88 C1500 with the fin type
98 K1500 no cooler
97 CC dually fin type
99 CCSB 454 frame loop POS

The latter 3 now all have factory fin type

I have only seen one of them in person it got removed and replaced with the real deal do the in frame coolers even do any thing at all it looks like that that frame was meant to be a heat sink

My 91 k1500 had this cooler line from the factory the lines inside the frame area rotted out lol
