Back grounds relocated. Some PO had the two wiring harness grounds connected to a bolt at the transmission.

Even worse they had been connected to a painted bracket which holds up the shifter bracket. Not only wrong spot - but a bad electric conductive one.

But it back on the manual indicated spot on the driver side cylinder head. Next - Have to put on a new ring terminal for the front ground which connects to the front of the engine.

Check these guys out. You can customize lengths, gauges and eyelet sizes. Prices are very reasonable and fast shipping too.

I replaced the 3 back straps with 3/4” and used the Big 3 Kit up front.

Thanks,
I already got that ground strap replaced. I have now two ground straps from the engine to the frame - one from each cylinder-head to both frame rails.

My battery ground is on the Passenger side frame rail and it had a signal strap on the driver side frame rail. So I thought - might be better to have those closer together.
Apparently depending on the year - the location of the engine ground strap is different, some have them on the right some on the left. So now I got both.

I don't have any power issues - voltage is stable and alternator is fine. I'm tracing signaling issues. So I'm going to wait with the Big 3 Power wires until I got verified that the grounds are not the issue.

Front PCM ground replaced.

Not only wrong location (A/C bracket) but the ground connector fell apart when I opened the bolt. Got a new ring terminal and have it mounted to the thermostat housing as intended.
