Haven't done much but I did get around to upgrading the sound aspect of the truck - these things are TINY! granted, for what they are, improvements were made. Also threw in the 6.5" CompRT kicker sub mated with a kenwood 800watt amp which happens to be too much for the sub lol either I need to downgrade the amp or upgrade the sub...

SO I snapped my throttle cable over the weekend...my brother jimmied something up and got it to work for the time being but wasn't comfortable leaving it that way so I ordered a few cables since I didn't know exactly what I needed...

The 1st one came in on Tuesday and we give it a try - basically one of those "cut-to-fit" lines. Trimmed the outter shell about 6" and the cable itself about half an inch.

Not the best way of routing it but it'll do for now.

We were able to get about 98% throttle opened up (it's a guess). However; the pedal feels like it's way out of place now - meaning it's further behind than the clutch and the brake pedal. My theory is that, the pedal wasn't coming in contact with the floor/stopper before. Hence the reason it snapped with the over extension.

Anyhow, anyone have an idea to a compatible accelerator pedal with the C1500 in which allows me to move the pedal forward a tad?

Picked up some wheels I plan on refinishing. Not entirely sure what the plans are but I would love to keep the "rally" theme going with these. Gonna grab some push thru center caps and see if beauty rings fit? Is so, I'll powder coat the entire wheel in a dark gunmetal and keep the caps/ring chrome. If rings don't fit, then I'll try to do just the faces and polish up the lips.

15X10 -38 (4" Back Spacing) Gonna try and throw on some 295/50 Sportman S/T Tires on the rears.
15X8 -13 (4" Back Spacing) According to tire size calculator 245/60 is the same diameter as the 295s...

$120 picked up! 45 min drive each way. I'll take it.

Decided to finally swap out the black piece for the blue kit that surrounded the headunit - blue is a little off and I had to mod the vent slots a bit to fit:

Haven't sourced replacements for these but I did have the panel that goes under the steering wheel under my bench - downside, was that it has broken tabs, therefore; I had to utilize some nutserts and finishing washers to keep it in place. Temp solution till I source the OEM parts I need.

Also, a picture of these cute little guy I forgot to post when I did my sound upgrade. Got the bass turned way down into the negatives and sounds just about right after a good break in period.

Next them to come is adjusting my pedal - since the new wire, the pedal hasn't felt right. Got a pedal stopper and readjusting the cable sometime this week I hope. That is all!

Huh? I'm not sure to what you are referring, these are OBS trucks. Square body is OOBS, GMT400 is OBS, GMT800 is NBS, GMT900 arguably are JBS (Junk Body Style) LOL.
Correct, since I am partial to this body style I may not be able to give an unbiased opinion. Still clean though.

A dash overlay was the cheapest option lol

Overall, a great alternative to sourcing a replacement dash. Fitment is good but the ends are difficult to keep down while glue is curing. Doesn't bother me much...as of now anyhow. Manage to break a speaker grill, and placing an order on LMC seems impossible when nothing adds into the cart and they don't respond to customer emails :/

That's all I got for now!

What brand is that dash cover and did it come painted? I want to get one for my dad's 94 as his is cracked even worse.

Also check out Classic Parts for the speaker grilles. This screenshot is the wrong color, but they have them all.
