Could be the actuator, broken wire in the door jamb........

Best thing to do is get the door panel off and check for power and ground to the door lock actuator when the lock switch is pressed unlock and lock. If it has power and ground when actuated, then its the actuator, if not, I'd suspect a broken wire.

You might also want to check the contacts on the sides of your barn doors for corrosion or leaves/debris stuck between them. Doesn't seem impossible that a broken connection there could cause your alarm system to malfunction as well, it might be thinking the back doors are open constantly.
