but he just said something about the 5.3 and 6.0 in the post before mine. go built 8.1 and dont look back.

Ya I had him convinced to ls swap it but he's changing his mind cause he wants it back together sooner.

well i will add my input, dont rush it. do it rigbht now otherwise youll have it torn back apart due to a regret of something you didnt do in the beginning, ive done it many many times. if your goig to lengths to powdercoat all the useable line retaining clips then do it right now, buy a rusty ol beater in the meantime.

Already have a few rusty ole beaters :) im not rushing by no means, just thinking about keeping it original....I have a friend that is going to build the original TBI bored .40 over with some pistons that I may get from bluex. Here is my friends 462 Pontiac pushing 750 horses...
And my 2 rusty ole beaters ;)

Finally got the frame put back in the garage with some persuasion from bluex's truck. Today I just removed the engine wiring harness, fan clutch and front bumper brackets. I soaked all of the exhaust bolts with rust penetrant as well.
