Damn right, I pick up a large stack of Aluminium sheet every couple of months for my business and they just sit in there nice and flat for the journey home.

I would never buy a new full size truck without an 8 foot bed. Around here it's hard to find them anymore. The Ram 1500 Classic seems to be the only one you can find new on the lot as a RCLB. Back when I bought mine new, 6' or 8' was the same price. It was all in what you wanted. Ummm I will take the extra 2 feet please.

Today I got the Red guard mold blocker brushed on everything, and using exterior coated wallboard I made doubler strips so I could drop in 2 squares of repair board where the brick is. I glued that in with some serious glue. Sticks to wood, glass, and concrete. Its impervious to water as well. I have shims behind it, and zip ties to hold it until it all dries.

It was tacky enough. Drywall screws toenailed through the 2x4s into the strips, glue on the infill panels, more drywall screws, and Red guard. Tomorrow, insulation and sheetrock.

I decided to start it today. A little more tomorrow and it's ready for mud n tape. Tile is next. No more news on Grac. Knock on wood, it's been unusually quiet.

I am a self employed sheet metal fabricator and welder. I make all sorts of custom pieces for the roofing and spouting companies like rainwater heads( I think you call them leader heads) and aluminium saddle flashings etc.

Well Gracs amazing adventures arent over yet. Yesterday morning about 3am, and it seems 3am is the time these calls happen when they do happen that she is in the hospital. Apparently the party she was at, there was an 18 year old she was gonna "pop Benny's" with. She layed out 12 pills for him and her. Then went to use the bathroom. This kid she was with took all 24, plus some more alcohol, and is now in a coma. She was also tripping on benadryl and both were taken to the hospital.

Since she is technically a minor, that 17 years old in texas is a blurry thing. Some stuff an adult some stuff a minor, we will be talking w CPS today. This kid needs long term in patient care in a mental health facility. We simply cannot afford it. A 10 day stint in a short term care place the last time she went batshit crazy cost us $2,800 for her 10 day stay in the nut house. The only other option is they let her go. In which case she will just leave our house whenever she wants, does whatever she wants, and the cycle repeats over again. Only next time it might be her in a coma, or the cops asking us to identify her body in the city morgue.

I do put the blame for this squarely at the Abilene Police Department. We went to them for help. Everybody swept this stuff under the rug. If she had been in kiddie jail, the juvenile lock up for the other stuff she got caught doing, she wouldent have been in the hospital, and quite possibly the other kid wouldent have been there either.

APD had a rating of 1 out of 10 before this latest thing, now after yesterday I give them a negative 3. When this is over I am writing that letter and sending copies to the mayor, chief of police, her probation officer, and the local newspaper. I will post it to fakebook too.

I think today I may talk to my attorney as well to see if I have a case to go after the city as well. These people are public servants. My taxes I have to fork over every year for the priviledge of living in my home is what pays their salary. They work for me, and everybody else that pays taxes, and they are not doing their jobs. I dont do my job, I get fired. They just get promoted.

Mate, I am really sorry to hear this. You can only hope that seeing her friend in hospital, and in a coma, that it gives her a reason to re-evaluate her own actions and realize that she is only going to hurt herself if she doesn't sort her life out soon. Sometimes going to a hospital and seeing the real life implications can be that gut punch that wakes you up to the fact that life is real and people do die from doing stupid stuff.
